On Friday I thought of you and said your name
On Saturday I cried when I heard you had been
brutally slain
Although you were ripped from our lives forever
that day
In our hearts and minds your memory will forever
stay
I can remember you always had a smile and you
were a good boy
You were a wonderful young man that brought your
family joy
Your death I will never understand
Why you were taken by another’s hand
Your death has left your family in a sad state
For we want swift justice, peace, and a clean
slate
We experience moments of peace and happiness as
days go by
But on bad days we still have to ask WHY
God promises we will see you again someday
So to that I say,
“Cannot wait to get those ball gloves out and play!“
